Sage :: Linda's Herbal
I planted sage in my garden about eight years ago... and it grows abundantly! Sage is so easy to grow. What I planted was ordinary garden sage: salvia officinalis.
It has formed a woody mass at the base and I generally trim it back in the early springtime. This produces beautiful and vigorous growth throughout the season with amazing bright purple blossoms.
I never lack for sage!
I also have a purple sage bush but it doesn't flower and I don't use it or save it for medicinal purposes. The ordinary garden sage is best.
